"Where is human nature so weak as in the bookstore?"
~Henry Ward Beecher
I'll admit I like to shop but I don't consider myself an obsessive shopper. I rarely buy new clothes, purses, or accessories for myself and shoe shopping to me is almost always a utilitarian event. However, one place I can rarely go without spending a dime is a bookstore. It could be that I consistently go through my days with a mile long TBR list, thus purchasing a book can almost be seen as accomplishing something, but more often than not it's just plain old bibliophilia in action. I'm guessing I'm not alone on this - anyone else go drool crazy when a coupon from your favorite bookstore pops up in your email inbox?

I just take out a piece of paper and make a hold list for the library! ;)

I am the exact same way!

Actually, I'm not as bad in bookstores as I used to be. My TBR stack is so huge and growing all the time, that I tend to feel guilty when I buy a new one.

I have so many books that I had to put a bunch in storage (can't seem to part with them) and yet I buy more. I love bookstores. I love to page through books. I love the smell and feel of them. I shiver when I think of downloading a book onto a Kindle, though I see the practicality of it. I'm glad I'm not alone. And I'm glad there are still people like us around, because if all goes well, I hope to have a book out in the near future and I'd love readers to appreciate the look and feel of it as they read.
