I liked X-Men, but then I started reading GenX and liked that even more. (Not sure what it says about me if as a teenager, I identified with young mutants...) And then of course I started reading Sandman and have been hooked on Neil Gaiman ever since. His storytelling is just phenomenal and I found the entire universe he created in the series to be quite captivating.<br /><br />I think it's interesting that there's been a trend lately of converting novels to graphic novels (i.e. Coraline, The Dark Tower, Twilight, Fevre Dream) I really can't decide if it's a movement that stems from wanting to get novel readers interested in comics or vice versa - I might have to explore that topic in a future post. ;)lisa :)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11429572773434109490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-285552714359981402.post-10311820283664385732010-05-07T22:29:14.857-05:002010-05-07T22:29:14.857-05:00My favorite comic book series? X-Men...always has...My favorite comic book series? X-Men...always has been, or some spinoff of X-Men that is really still...X-Men. (i.e. Wolverine) I know it's a popular sentiment, and may be cliche, but it's been such a great blend of imagination, political and current events, character development, and artwork.<br /><br />What's YOUR fave series?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
